Fun Fun Fun

It's been a while since I have updated. I will be better. We have done some really fun activities. T was eating an apple and decided he would like to grow a tree form the seeds. I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to plant some seeds. We also planted some chives as I wasn't convinced the apple seeds would grow, but... they are. T does keep asking why he hasn't got any apples yet though.
We have also been having fun in the snow. I like to take T swimming. We both enjoy going to rhyme time at the library. T enjoys doing music time here. I have a variety of musical instruments and and different animals add to the fun of singing.

Dressing up fun

Today I bought a lovely treasure chest of dressing up clothes. T loved it. There are 5 outfits, knight, pirate, fireman, Indian and cowboy. There was a girl one which I hope to get as well. We have had really good few days. This week the theme is shapes and colours. We've had fun watching a baby Einstein shape dvd, reading Dora's shape adventure and playing shape games. T loves the little tykes kitchen and is putting it to good use and I'm enjoying many meals and drinks.
Last week our theme was things in water. Wednesday was frog day. T loved 5 little speckled frogs and especially finding a frog in the garden, how great was that on frog day too. T has been learning jolly phonics. I'm trying to teach him one sound a day. As he is young I need to take it at a slightly slower pace. T enjoys writing his name when he arrives in the morning. At nursery on Tues they were taught about fireman. As he was telling me what to do if there was a fire I thought it was a great opportunity to talk to him about the smoke alarm here and what do if he hears it. Only thing now he wants me to press it all the time!

First Day Fun

Today was my 1st day of childminding. The theme for this week is 'Things in water.' The topic today was fish. T is 3 years old. We started with him writing his name. He did really well tracing over the letters I have written. T made a really cute fish and agreed to have it hanging on my ceiling.
